Synopsis
English Place Names

Another medieval romance, My Noble Knight, will be released in the June of 2007. Set in the lowlands of Scotland, the maiden Deidre is on a quest to find the stolen Philosopher’s Stone which a mad magician whisked away from its priestess-protected sacred grotto deep in the heart of the Languedoc. Deidre’s cousin, King Childebert, is also seeking it. If it falls into his hands, he will turn it over to the Christian church in exchange for Rome’s powerful backing and the ancient Wisdom of the Goddess will be lost forever.

In its place, the magician left a leather-bound book, Locus Vocare Camulodunum. A Place Called Camelot. Deidre, at four-and-ten when the Stone was taken, falls in love with the stories of the Round Table and, romantic soul that she is, dreams of finding her own gallant armor-clad man.

So when she arrives in Scotland ten years later and is nearly raped by a cruel and vicious lout on Beltane, she naturally sees her rescuer, Gilead, as her intended knight. Not to mention that he’s a strapping, broad-shouldered man with long dark hair and deep blue eyes and is the fulfillment of every erotic fantasy she’s ever had.

But as the laird’s son, Gilead has a duty to protect women from lustful advances. And he has his hands full keeping his carnal-minded father separated from the vixen wife of the neighboring southern king. The Scots can’t afford war with Britain with Saxons raiding their shores.

Deidre’s vision of Camelot slowly crumbles amid the callous ruthlessness of the clan-driven wars. Her search for the Stone is likewise hampered. And the nightmare gets worse when the abusive lout persuades the laird to let him be betrothed to Deidre.

Will Gilead turn out to be a gallant knight after all?
